Baby

from I Am by JR Rhodes

about

Real quick about 'Baby'. It's a song about my love for music. I took this songwriting class one time and somehow it came up in conversation in class one day that using the word baby in a song is somehow lyrically cheating. So I, of course, that night after class immediately started writing songs using the word baby as many times as I could get the word in there while still holding true to the song. This is the one song so far I've completed. I sure hope you enjoy!

lyrics

My mind is not my own
I thought I knew and now I know
I love him more
I love him more
Tell my mother I am here
In love, in where there is no fear
I love him more
I love him more

Baby’s all I ever think about
He’s all I think about
Oh, Baby : Oh, Baby
Oh, Baby : Oh, Baby
Baby’s all I need : He’s all I need

Melody has changed my course
His song has left me with one choice
I love him more
I love him more
Tell my mother I am home
With every note, with every strum
I love him more
I love him more

Baby’s all I ever think about
He’s all I think about
Oh, Baby : Oh, Baby
Oh, Baby : Oh, Baby
Baby’s all I need : He’s all I need

Baby’s all I ever think about
He’s all I think about
Oh, Baby : Oh, Baby
Oh, Baby : Oh, Baby
Baby’s all I need : He’s all I need
